New Survey Reveals Majority of Americans Desire an Easier Way to Tell Crushes How They Feel
SlipperFits is the Classy, Crush App You Wouldn't Mind Your Sister Using
NEW YORK, Feb. 6, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Valentine's Day is quickly approaching and many people wish they could work up the nerve to ask out that special someone. According to a recent online omnibus survey by TNS, more than half of the people surveyed (54 percent) agree that sometimes it is hard to tell if it is just a friendship or if someone wants more, and 40 percent say they have been too nervous to tell someone they like them.

Other survey highlights include:
- Half of Americans (51 percent) wish there was an easy way to tell someone they are interested in them, and men are significantly more likely than women to wish this (56 percent vs. 46 percent).
- Half of Americans (51 percent) wish there was an emotionally low-risk way to express their feelings for someone, with men significantly more likely than women to report this (56 percent vs. 47 percent)
- Four in ten Americans (39 percent) wish there was an anonymous way to tell someone they are interested in them
SlipperFits, a new, Norton Secured Facebook and mobile app, has set out to help anyone who has a Facebook crush. SlipperFits has been created to allow users to express their interest in Facebook friends safely. It is a simple and easy way to connect Facebook friends who might want to be more than just "friends" without the normal risks and possible embarrassments.
SlipperFits lets users secretly create a HOTLIST, and select the person(s) they have a crush on. The user then gives SlipperFits the OK to send an automated app request to 50 of their friends, with their crush(es) secretly sprinkled in amongst them. The user's friends are then prompted to create their own HOTLIST. A crush is revealed only if there's a match, and from there they can take the next step – whatever that may be!
"Sometimes people wait for the perfect moment to tell someone how they feel and before you know it, it's too late to take action. SlipperFits was designed to help connect friends who are interested in one another without risking rejection," said founder Michael Scanlan. "With SlipperFits, you've got nothing to lose and a whole lot to gain."
