New SumAll Segments Email Lists Using Data from 500K Businesses and 1 Billion Consumers
In the reengineered SumAll platform, businesses can upload their email lists, automatically segment audiences and then target their best customers through social media, email, helpdesk and ad platforms
NEW YORK, Jan. 13, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- SumAll, a provider of connected data analytics, today unveiled a reengineered platform that segments audiences using data collected from 500,000 businesses and 1 billion consumers. Businesses can now upload email lists, and SumAll will automatically map out the subscribers' influence across social networks and find each individual's gender, age and location. Marketers can then use this data to target their most influential audience members via social media, email, the helpdesk and ad platforms. For a limited time, SumAll is offering a 30-day, complimentary membership to SumAll Premium.
"SumAll used to focus on tracking analytics, but now the platform is focused to help you understand your audience and make better decisions," said Dane Atkinson, CEO of SumAll. "We tell you who your most engaged and influential audience members are so you can focus your marketing efforts on them."
The process behind Audience Segmentation is straightforward. A business uploads its email list, and then SumAll finds each subscriber on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. SumAll then ranks subscribers by their level of Engagement and Influence. "Engagement" refers to how intensively subscribers interact with the brand on social media. "Influence" refers to how many followers they each have. To add demographic details, SumAll cross-references these email address against data that the company has collected from over 500,000 businesses and 1 billion consumers. Businesses can then target their best brand advocates, boost engagement, attract more followers and, ultimately, drive more sales.
SumAll also released a separate Twitter Segmentation tool with more advanced functionality. Brands simply connect twitter, identify Twitter users and then segment them based on network size, engagement and their activeness on Twitter. Conversely, the marketers can start with a list of Twitter handles and plug them into SumAll to find the corresponding email addresses and demographic data.
The key is that Audience and Twitter Segmentation allow businesses to target users across a variety of channels. As example, imagine that a marketer segments Twitter users by network size and then exports the top 20 percent to a separate CSV list. The marketer could engage that top 20 percent directly on Twitter, serve them Twitter ads via Tailored Audiences, and target them with email campaigns. Moreover, the marketer could flag these users on the helpdesk, CRM, marketing automation platforms and other systems that uses email addresses to track identity.
SumAll Premium offers a host of benefits for users including a dedicated Client Advisor that helps align the SumAll platform's features to the client's specific goals. Support questions from Premium-level users are also handled as priority concerns. Additional benefits of the Premium level include:

SumAll's pilot testers have already begun reaching their top audience members via Customer Match, Google AdWords' new email targeting service. Unable to bid on major keywords before, these businesses can now afford to purchase major keywords for small, valuable audiences. In testing, this has raised their AdWords ROI by more than twofold.
The new SumAll still includes Reports and Insights. Reports demystify the impact of social media with performance metrics on content, engagement, reach and community. Insights reveals what, when and how brands should post on social media to improve ROI.
