New Study from Integer Research Predicts Non-road AUS32 Market to Reach 8 Billion Litres (2.1 Billion Gallons) by 2023
LONDON, October 10, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --
Integer Research predicts the AUS32 market will reach 8 billion litres (2.1 billion gallons) by 2023, with consumption growth accelerating from 2017 as flexibility schemes come to an end. Europe and North America will continue to be the biggest markets for AdBlue/Diesel Exhaust Fluid in this segment, with the BRIC countries slowly gaining traction later in the period. North America and Europe are expected to account for 75% of the market by 2023. The market for AUS32 could be growing rapidly in China by 2023, depending on implementation of Tier 4 equivalent legislation.
This growth estimate is according to Integer's new Emissions Control in Non-Road Mobile Machinery (NRMM) Markets which forecasts non-road equipment sales, non-road machinery parc, emissions control options and sales forecasts, and AUS32 market forecasts, while providing an up-to-date overview of global legislation. This is the only report to provide in-depth coverage of the market, discussing trends, future developments and providing forecasts for the NRMM market.
The new NRMM report also provides an in-depth view of existing supply chains operating in all major markets. All major geographies have been analysed and the research has been compiled in a detailed format. In terms of AUS32 supply, every region has been broken down into top-level gas and urea market analysis, followed by an overview of existing urea production sites and individual AUS32 manufacturer strategy. Major markets include: Europe, North America, Brazil and China.
"AdBlue and DEF markets have been driven by developments in the heavy-duty truck sector. What we see now is high adoption rates of SCR by non-road machinery manufacturers, along with intensive use of the technology in many applications. This will result in a new and interesting segment for Diesel Exhaust Fluid and AdBlue suppliers", said Dr. Niels Tholen, emissions control expert at Integer Research.
The European and North American markets continue to expand and with the upcoming Tier 4 Final / Stage IV legislation, the non-road sector will play an increasing larger role in overall AUS32 consumption. Besides the long-term potential of emerging markets, the European and North American AUS32 markets are set to reach 7.6 million litres (1.7 billion gallons) in this segment by 2023.
