New Spirituality Book Presents Christian Principles in Easy-to-Understand Format
MARIETTA, Ohio, June 25 /PRNewswire/ -- "Marshmallows in the Sky: Twenty-Three Articles on Christianity Based on Life Experiences" (published by WestBow Press) presents a compilation of stories that addresses Christianity and Christian living in a straightforward and easy-to-understand manner. In this new spirituality book, author Nancy Hamilton draws inspiration from her everyday experiences and observations to contrast or draw parallels to biblical doctrine and principles.
This collection of 23 stories is based on articles Hamilton has written for the section pertaining to spirituality in her local newspaper. The title story, "Marshmallows in the Sky," was inspired by Hamilton's granddaughter. On a bright, sunny afternoon, the 4-year-old girl told her grandmother that she saw marshmallows in the sky, stating matter-of-factly that God made the clouds. Hamilton was impressed by her granddaughter's childlike innocence and faith. That conversation led to an article about adults' inability to trust as a child does, about those who constantly search for evidence to substantiate evolution and about man's rebellion against God.
Hamilton uses other life experiences - spring cleaning, exercising, Valentine's Day, vacation travel, pets, a granddaughter's adoption, seeing a sickly homeless man on a New York City street - to present Christian truths such as spiritual cleansing, godliness, God's love, heaven and hell, witnessing, adoption into God's family and sin. Other articles inspired by real-life occurrences address the subjects of Calvary, Christmas, Bible prophecy, salvation, half-hearted Christianity, Christian warfare, Easter and more.
"Marshmallows in the Sky" encourages readers to discover spiritual truths through easy-to-read articles that present succinct Bible truths.
