New Riu Palace Peninsula getaways on sale with Apple Vacations
ELK GROVE VILLAGE, Ill., May 31, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- RIU Hotels & Resorts and Apple Vacationers are celebrating the grand opening of Riu Palace Peninsula – RIU's newest luxury resort in Cancun. The Riu Palace Peninsula is one of RIU's new generation Palace properties, complete with modern decoration and architecture, world-class cuisine and 24-hour all-inclusive amenities. The new resort boasts four swimming pools, an ice cream parlor, lobby bar with patisserie and windsurfing and snorkeling activities.

Also on site are Mayan ruins called Ta'acul, meaning "that which remains hidden." This archaeological discovery was recently excavated by the National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH) with funding provided by RIU, who maintains and cares for the site.
Apple Vacations is offering summer specials to Riu Palace Peninsula. Three nights in July start from $890 per person, including nonstop, roundtrip air from Baltimore or Dallas/Ft. Worth, hotel transfers, all meals and drinks and the services of an in-resort Apple representative. Taxes and fees are also included.
