CRANSTON, R.I. and CHICAGO, April 21, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- An updated Rhode Island Workers' Compensation Medical Fee Schedule has been released and will go into effect on May 1, 2014, for services on or after that date.
The Medical Fee Schedule contains rules and maximum reimbursement rates, by procedure, for workers' compensation medical services in the State of Rhode Island. These guidelines and rates cover a number of services, including: Anesthesia, Pharmacy, Surgical, and Physical/Occupational Medicine.
This Medical Fee Schedule update applies to all service types with the exception of hospital rates and guidelines. The 2013 Rhode Island Hospital Fee Schedule therefore remains in effect until further notice.
