New Release of CisionPoint Empowers Clients to Seamlessly Connect With Media Across the World
Cision PR Software Integrates Leading Global Media Databases and Offers Superior PR Workflow Support in One Online, Multinational Platform
CHICAGO, March 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Cision, the leading provider of media research, distribution, monitoring and analysis services to the public relations industry and other communicators, today introduced a new release of its award-winning CisionPoint PR workflow software platform, featuring new capabilities that empower multinational companies to better plan, manage and evaluate global communications campaigns.
The new CisionPoint release, available immediately in the U.S., U.K., Finland and Germany, integrates the world's leading media research resources – the Cision (formerly Bacon's) Media Database and Mediadisk – to enable communicators to seamlessly connect with journalists and influencers across international boundaries. Its comprehensive research database includes new information about global contacts and outlets, more detailed profiles and biographies of key journalists and influencers, and tens of thousands of new editorial opportunities in the U.K., Germany and the Nordic countries.
CisionPoint can now be customized to accommodate national and local media environments. It supports German and both U.S. and U.K. English; multiple time zones and currencies; media searching by local or geographical criteria; topics (such as beats or interests) organized by international or local environments; European formats for addresses, telephone/fax numbers, printing and labels; and localized customer support and training.
"In just two years, CisionPoint has gained over 5,000 customers and 20,000 users, unseated competitive products at top-tier organizations, and been cited for technical excellence two years in a row in America's only peer-reviewed software awards competition," said Hans Gieskes, group president and chief executive officer of Cision.
"With the latest release of CisionPoint, it's the only PR workflow software platform to combine universal, seamless access to the world's most comprehensive media research with localization features that accommodate different countries and geographies," Mr. Gieskes said.
Joe Bernardo, chief executive officer of Cision North America, noted that CisionPoint has gained momentum as a standard workflow solution since its launch in the U.S. in November 2007, with two thirds of Cision customers in North America currently using CisionPoint, nearly twice the number that were using it a year ago.
Launched in the U.S. in October 2007, CisionPoint won a coveted CODiE Award as Best Online News Service in 2009, its first year of eligibility, and it has been a five-time finalist in four different CODiE Award categories during 2009-10, as judged by the Software and Information Industry Association. It is currently a finalist in the Best Content Management Solution category of the 2010 CODiE Awards, to be presented in May.
Cision is currently rolling out CisionPoint as the standard on-demand platform for its customers worldwide, including Fortune 500 corporations, global public relations firms, non-profit organizations, universities, and small businesses.
