New Private High School Coming to Orange County

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., Feb. 18, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- A faith-based college preparatory high school is coming to Orange County with plans to launch in the fall of 2015.  Pacifica Christian of Orange County (http://www.pacificaoc.org) will be partnering with the highly successful Pacifica Christian High School of Santa Monica to carry the vision of "teaching students to think and live well" to the Orange County community.  Pacifica Christian in Santa Monica launched ten years ago and has quickly become one of the most successful and impressive private high schools in Los Angeles county, placing students year in and year out in top universities, and executing on a carefully constructed vision to develop capable and well-rounded students.

Pacifica Christian High School will launch in Newport Beach in September of 2015.  Plans are for a freshman and sophomore class in the school's first year.  Specific details of the school's exciting campus plans will be released in coming weeks.  The campus will be available for tours and visits in the fall of 2014.

The school will announce its administrative team in the coming weeks, including the Head of School and other key leadership positions.  "We are really blessed to have an extraordinary team of educators and visionaries coming on board to launch this school", says board vice president, David Bahnsen.  "This community is privileged with several outstanding schools, but there has been a particular void with this category of school for a long time.  We believe Pacifica Christian will be an extraordinary educational option for parents and students who identify with our vision and mission."

The Santa Monica sister school provides an incredible example for the Pacifica Christian High School-Orange County school to emulate.  Like the Santa Monica school, Orange County's school will seek to be a leader in multiple academic disciplines, athletic endeavors, as well as visual and performing arts.  The school promises to offer academic programs and extra-curricular resources very unique to Orange County.
