New PowerMasterSeries Cordless Circular Saw from Metabo Provides More Cuts per Charge
Portable Saw Makes Continuous Clean Cuts
WEST CHESTER, Pa., Aug. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Metabo Corporation, a leading international manufacturer of professional grade portable electric power tools and abrasives for industrial, construction and welding applications, has introduced a new cordless circular saw with a high efficiency motor that provides more cuts per charge than any saw in its class. The KSA18 LTX cordless circular saw is ideal for projects that require fast straight cuts with relative accuracy through heavy material like cutting paneling, ripping lumber and making cross, miter and angled bevel cuts.

The easy-to-maneuver 6-1/2" cordless circular saw has an ergonomic design that helps to reduce operator fatigue by keeping the user's wrist in line. In addition, its rubber coated handle and easily accessible on/off switch improves operator handling.
The KSA18 LTX uses Metabo's patented air-cooled battery system to increase performance and keep the tool working longer. The system actively cools both the battery and charger to keep the battery temperature level during charging, increasing productivity by shortening charge time by 30% and sustaining battery life by keeping the individual cells cooler during the charging process.
Metabo's Electronic Single Cell Protection (ESCP) also increases the service life of the battery by monitoring the individual battery cells during both the charging and discharging process. Cells are electronically protected from discharging completely while working and from overcharging while charging. Furthermore, the battery packs are protected by Metabo's XXL three-year warranty that covers tools and chargers as well.
The KSA18 LTX features bevel cutting to 50 degrees and a maximum cutting depth of 2-7/64" at 90 degrees and 1-5/8" at 45 degrees. No-load speed is 2,700 rpm.
Standard items that come with the tool include a rip fence, a cutting depth indicator, a spindle lock, an 18-tooth carbide-tipped saw blade, a chip blower and a built-in smart LED light that illuminates the cut line.
The tool also has an integrated dust extraction port for easy hook up to a vacuum, minimizing cleanup time and dust inhalation.
The KSA18 LTX is supplied with two Metabo Li-Power Extreme batteries. Each 18-volt Li-Ion battery has a capacity of 2.6 Ah.
Made with a die-cast aluminum gear housing, the KSA18 LTX weighs just 9.5 pounds.
