New Pioneer Human Services Outpatient Counseling Clinic Positioned to Help Tackle Region's Drug and Mental Health Crisis

SEATTLE, Sept. 14, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- In conjunction with National Recovery Month, Pioneer Human Services announced the opening of Pioneer Counseling–Rainier Clinic located at 901 Rainier Avenue South in Seattle. The clinic provides a wide array of behavioral health services including co-occurring treatment for individuals with both substance use and mental health disorders, and individual and group therapy sessions for people needing outpatient counseling and treatment services.

Pioneer's new Rainer Valley clinic will not only provide expanded space to treat more people and take walk-in clients, it also will present the opportunity to offer an extra conference room 'free of charge' to community AA and NA groups in need of a central meeting place. The location also has metro bus service that stops at the front door so clients will have easy access to the center if they don't own a car.

Pioneer provides mental health and substance use disorder treatment services for individuals in both outpatient and residential programs across Washington State. The organization specializes in treating people who are involved with the criminal justice system - including those who are in diversion programs, coming out of jail or prison, and on supervision who have relapsed or need support to maintain their recovery and well-being. Two of Pioneer's residential programs in Spokane and Sedro Woolley specialize in behaviorally difficult, treatment-resistant, high-need individuals.
