New PickUp USA Fitness Franchise Opening in Sugar Land, TX

Founded in 2011, PickUp USA gyms are full-service fitness clubs with a focus on basketball.  Their clubs offer group and private basketball training, weight and cardio rooms, lounges, locker rooms, retail merchandise, and the company's main attraction – pickup basketball with referees.

Erick Acosta and his wife, Zulma Rivera, are the owners of the new PickUp USA club in Sugar Land.  Acosta, a long-time worker in the energy industry with a PhD in Chemistry, has always had a passion for fitness and basketball.  When the opportunity to acquire the rights to open a PickUp USA in Sugar Land presented itself, Acosta and Rivera moved quickly.  "I love the idea of offering a better way to play basketball to the Sugar Land area," says Acosta.  "People that are passionate about basketball like I am will find their dreams come true with PickUp USA."
