New Partnership Program Aims to Expand SAE International's Library of Technical Publications
WARRENDALE, Pa., July 13 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Traditional and non-traditional developers and publishers of engineering information can now look to SAE International as an active partner to make content available to the mobility engineering community.
Global in its scope, SAE International's new Content Partnership Program seeks to expand SAE International's publishing program by partnering with book publishers, industry experts, multimedia producers and a variety of other technical knowledge providers. This includes the resale of premium content from sources such as commercial publishers, think tanks and research-driven corporations, co-publishing opportunities, recruiting new authors with expertise in cutting-edge technologies, and acquiring exclusive magazine and newsletter content.
The program seeks to create a unique information store, found only at SAE International.
"By definition, engineers focus on developing cost-effective, creative solutions to real-life problems. This can only be done by using solid, state-of-the-art technical information. And that is what our new Content Partnership Program will provide, in conjunction with content that SAE International already develops on its own," says Kevin Jost, SAE's Editorial Director for books and magazines. "We're reaching out to organizations around the world that produce mobility-related technical information in an effort to collaborate both in terms of how we publish and distribute that knowledge to all interested."
As a direct benefit, SAE International's new content partners will be able to interface with one of the most vibrant and information-hungry engineering communities in the world, in an industry now poised for renewed growth and paradigm-shifting innovation.
The new initiative supports SAE International's commitment to provide professionals, researchers, and students worldwide with relevant titles in several areas, including bodies and structures, design and simulation, electronics, environment and emissions, fuels and energy sources, maintenance and aftermarket, management, manufacturing, materials, power and propulsion, safety, tests and testing, and vehicles and performance.
