CEDAR KNOLLS, N.J., July 30, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- The New Jersey Manufacturing Extension Program (NJMEP) was named the recipient of $250,000 in new supplemental funds by the U.S. Department of Commerce National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Hollings Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) to help support New Jersey manufacturers.
The supplemental funds are used to support NJMEP's Technical Sales Training & Apprenticeship program (approved by New Jersey – currently under Federal review), and the MSSC (Manufacturing Skills Standards Council) training – national credentials in Production Technician & Logistics Technician. NJMEP is looking toward the State to match these funds through an open State Budget Resolution.
