New Jersey High School Students to Host 5th Annual Teen Safe Driving Showcase and Awards Ceremony

WHO: This event is hosted by the Brain Injury Alliance of New jersey (BIANJ) with support from the New Jersey Division of Highway Traffic Safety, New Jersey Manufacturers (NJM), The Allstate Foundation, DriveSafer, New Jersey Education Association (NJEA), DCH Teen Safe Driving Foundation, NJ Teen Driving Safety Coalition, Nikhil Badlani Foundation, AAAClubs at New Jersey, The National Road Safety Foundation, and AT&T.
WHAT: Students from 59 high schools throughout New Jersey will participate in the Brain Injury Alliance of New Jersey's 5th Annual 'U Got Brains Champion Schools Program' Showcase and Awards Ceremony to address teen driving safety issues. Students and staff from participating high schools will display and be recognized for their school and community-based-peer-to-peer teen safe driving campaigns. The showcase will kick off with Lindsey Giannini, Co-founder of (PADD) People Against Distracted Driving and Miss Columbus Day 2014, as mistress of ceremonies and culminate with an awards presentation. The top two campaigns, selected by a panel of expert judges, are awarded the grand prize – a driving simulator donated by New Jersey Manufacturers (NJM).
