New Jersey Court Reporter Viola Zborowski Is Elected As a Director of the National Court Reporters Association
VIENNA, Va., Aug. 27 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Viola S. Zborowski has been elected to the office of Director of the National Court Reporters Association (NCRA), a 20,000-member association representing court reporters and providers of captioning and realtime transcription services for the legal, broadcasting, business, government, and educational communities throughout the United States (www.ncraonline.org). Ms. Zborowski works as a freelance court reporter in Long Valley, New Jersey.
Ms. Zborowski became a certified court reporter in New Jersey in 1981 and holds the Registered Merit Reporter (RMR) and Certified Realtime Reporter (CRR) credentials. In addition to her role doing depositions through her current employer, Veritext, she has been a Stenograph Certified Independent Training Agent since 1999, and trains court reporters on Case CATalyst and Eclipse on a regular basis in New Jersey. She has provided closed captioning for television and CART for people who are hard of hearing. Viola served on the Board of Directors for the Certified Shorthand Reporters Association of New Jersey in 1981, and she has served as a proctor and assisted in grading the Certified Court Reporters' examination in New Jersey.
Beyond that, Ms. Zborowski also works with reporters, counseling and training them on new technology, computer-related issues, and matters pertaining to professional ethics. She has lectured at many law firms, educating attorneys on the intricacies of creating the official record, training lawyers on the efficient use of LiveNote at depositions and in trial. She has been a LiveNote Certified Trainer since 2000.
