New Infragistics Ultimate 14.2 Combines UX and UI Tools to Help Developers Build Their Next Great App
Top component vendor with 1 million-plus developer users boosts performance, ease of use for Windows, Web and mobile experiences
CRANBURY, N.J., Oct. 15, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Infragistics, a worldwide leader in desktop, Web, mobile native and mobile hybrid user interface toolsets, today announced the launch of Infragistics Ultimate 14.2, which continues to deliver on the promise of helping developers build Microsoft Office-inspired, touch-enabled, high-performance business apps.
"Our customers drive our roadmaps, and this release further delivers on innovations driven by customer demand across all major toolsets," said Jason Beres, Infragistics Senior Vice President of Developer Tools.
"Great apps happen by design, whether you are building Web, mobile or desktop apps, and this starts with Indigo Studio, our interactive prototyping tool. What makes it really awesome is that Indigo Studio can generate standards-based HTML5 and JavaScript with our Ignite UI controls, which can be further refined by our newly released WYSIWYG Page Designer for the Web. And if you are building rich client Windows Forms or XAML apps, use one of our best-practices pre-built Office-inspired templates to kick-start your next project. Our goal is to minimize the start-up for your great app with 14.2."
Highlights of Ultimate 14.2's new features include:
- A WYSIWYG Web-based Page Designer to build next-generation, line-of-business modern Web apps with Infragistics HTML5/jQuery controls
- All-new data visualization and charting controls for Windows Forms enterprise application development
- Infragistics Xamarin.Forms, which allows customers to use native iOS, Android and Windows Phone controls with Xamarin in Visual Studio to build native apps with C# and XAML. This feature is made possible through a partnership with Xamarin, announced Oct. 8.
Infragistics' solutions lead the industry in high-performance, scalable enterprise applications. They have been tested in mission-critical applications in some of the world's largest companies, including Boeing, ESPN, Exxon, Intel, Intuit and Bank of America. In addition, Infragistics has received numerous industry awards, including a 2013 JOLT Award from Dr. Dobbs and a Reader's Choice Award from Visual Studio Magazine, and analyst firm IDC recognized the company as holding the largest market share among component vendors.
