Now available for pre-order
LOS ANGELES, Sept. 11, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Open the door to a new world order with General Admission, the sophomore album from one of rap's edgiest superstars, EST 19XX/Bad Boy/Interscope artist Machine Gun Kelly. Set for in-store release on Friday, October 16th, General Admission is available for pre-orders today, September 11th. Those fans who order the album that first day will receive a pair of instant download tracks, "Till I Die" and "A Little More." Other instant download tracks will be released on September 25th ("World Series") and October 2nd ("Gone"). Fans should visit MGK's online store for special pre-order packages and bundles.
General Admission, which is available for purchase and streaming from all digital partners today, follows up on MGK's hit debut album, 2012's Lace Up, which shot to #2 on Billboard's R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart (debuting at #4 on the Billboard 200), earned him an MTV Music Award as Hottest Breakthrough MC, clinched an MTV Europe Music Award as Best U.S. Act, and won four Ohio Hip-Hop Awards for the MC from Cleveland. Today he can claim more than 1,500,000 Instagram followers and an impressive 3,500,000 Facebook friends among an ever-growing fan base.
MGK is currently on his Road Trippin' summer tour which launched in July and spanned more than 30 dates across the U.S. The international leg of Road Trippin' will begin November 10th in Moscow, Russia, and conclude November 30th in London, England.
Taking the lead from the first two singles, "A Little More" and "Till I Die," General Admission displays the maturity of an artist who has now seen the world and has something to say about the state of humanity. From bullying to the environment to political warfare and more, MGK speaks his mind and offers hope, founded on his personal experience, on top of driving bass lines and melodic choruses. Executive Producers on General Admission are Sean "Diddy" Combs, Machine Gun Kelly, Harve Pierre, and James McMillan, with Byron Kirkland as Co-Executive Producer.
MGK released his first mixtape, Stamp of Approval, in 2006 and built a Cleveland fan base. But it was a trip to New York's legendary Apollo Theater in 2009 that would gain him wide notice. He became the first rapper in history to win the Apollo talent show. In 2011, he secured a record deal with Interscope Records through Sean "Diddy" Combs' Bad Boy Entertainment imprint. With the release of Lace Up, MGK set himself apart from the pack as he seamlessly blended hip-hop and rock that echoed both his punk and rap influences.
