New Fuel Rewards Network Program Empowers San Francisco, Oakland, and San Jose Area Consumers to Save Big on Fuel at Shell
Consumers may never have to pay full price at the pump again by simply turning everyday purchases into potentially huge savings
SAN FRANCISCO, OAKLAND, AND SAN JOSE, Calif., June 4, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Imagine taking as much as one, two or even three dollars off per gallon on your next fuel purchase! For greater San Francisco, Oakland, and San Jose area consumers it is now possible with the new, revolutionary cents-per-gallon rewards program that Shell, the No. 1 selling gasoline brand in the U.S., and Excentus, a market leader in cents-per-gallon loyalty programs, kicked off across San Francisco, Oakland, and San Jose today.
The new Fuel Rewards Network™ program – or FRN™ – offers local consumers a variety of ways to earn rewards through everyday purchases of things like food, clothing and household goods which can be redeemed for fuel savings at more than 200 local participating Shell stations. Consumers can earn rewards at many of their favorite local restaurants, and hundreds of merchants from the Online Mall including Bass Pro Shops, Best Buy.com, Sears.com and many more.
The FRN program, developed and operated by Excentus, is unique because it allows local consumers to combine or stack their multiple rewards offers – or cents-per-gallon savings – together for potentially huge savings right at the pump. The savings can be redeemed on all grades of Shell Nitrogen Enriched Gasolines including Shell V-Power® Premium Gasoline, and Shell Diesel at participating stations, up to 20 gallons per purchase.
The Fuel Rewards Network program is FREE for local consumers. They just need to pick up a Fuel Rewards Network Card at any one of the more than 200 participating local Shell stations and activate it by visiting fuelrewards.com to start earning rewards to save at the pump. Consumers can also request a Fuel Rewards Network Card online at fuelrewards.com.
There are three ways for local consumers to save with the Fuel Rewards Network program! The multiple ways to save for local consumers include:
- Online Mall – Access nearly 700 brand name online merchants offering 5 cents per gallon for every $50 you spend. Some merchants may offer 2x, 5x, 10x rewards or more – so you can multiply your savings!
- Dining – Earn 10 cents per gallon for every $50 you spend when you dine at more than 10,000 participating restaurant locations.
- Grocery & Other Programs – Buy the everyday things you need and earn Fuel Rewards savings from participating Save Mart and Lucky Supermarket locations and retailers. Link the FRN Card and your participating grocer or other retailer loyalty card to combine your rewards for even more savings at the pump at Shell in select markets.
