New FRC Action PAC TV Ad Urges Voters to Stop Harry Reid on Election Day
Military is for Protection, Not Politics Says New TV Ad
WASHINGTON, Aug. 26 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Today, FRC Action PAC, the political action committee connected to Family Research Council Action, launched a new ad on Las Vegas cable TV targeting Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid for pushing to overturn the law on open homosexuality in the military, most commonly referred to as "Don't Ask, Don't Tell."
The ad narrator says, "They fought in trenches … stormed beaches … cut through sweltering jungles … marched over burning deserts. Our military has protected our soil, seas and skies. Today, they're drawn into a new battle. Harry Reid and homosexual activists are attempting to advance their political agenda by overturning 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell.' Our military is for protection, not politics. Stop Harry Reid on Election Day."
FRC Action PAC Chairman Tony Perkins made the following comments:
"Senator Harry Reid has ignored all four military service chiefs who have urged him not to force open homosexuality on the military in part because of the negative impact on morale, recruitment and the increased sexual tension. Senator Reid has instead chosen to use the military to advance a radical social agenda.
"It's time for Senator Reid to go and be replaced by a senator who will respect and listen to our military leaders. We will continue to take this message to the Nevada airwaves and across the country. Our military is for protection, not politics," concluded Perkins.
