WESTPORT, Conn., Sept. 16, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- REX Shares, LLC (REX) today announced its launch as a privately held investment firm, focused on exchange-traded funds (ETFs). REX Founder and Chief Executive Officer Greg King is a pioneer in the ETF industry, with over ten years experience building exchange-traded product solutions. Global X Management Company, LLC will be a minority stakeholder in the new firm.
Mr. King will leverage his experience building and launching over 70 exchange-traded products to introduce a lineup of investment strategies that solve inefficiencies across different markets.
Mr. King was Head of Exchange Traded Products for Credit Suisse from 2011 to 2014. Prior to that, Mr. King launched and ran the iPath platform at Barclays, in partnership with iShares. Mr. King was also CEO and Co-Founder at VelocityShares, which was acquired by Janus Capital in 2014. Mr. King will conclude his current role as Head of Product Development and Strategic Ventures for Global X Management Company LLC on September 30, 2015.
