New Entertainment On The Horizon For Tropicana Las Vegas And M Resort Spa Casino
Entertainment Executive Howard Weiss brings two new shows to Tropicana Las Vegas, announces plans for 2017
LAS VEGAS, Sept. 27, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- An entertainment resurgence is in store for Tropicana Las Vegas and M Resort Spa Casino, and at the helm is Vice President Howard Weiss.
Appointed by Penn National Gaming earlier this year to oversee daylife and nightlife at Tropicana and M Resort Spa Casino, Weiss opened the brand new Sky Beach Club, which welcomed celebrities like 50 Cent, Rob Kardashian and Floyd Mayweather, in addition to reintroducing M Resort's DayDream Pool Club. Weiss' role has now expanded to include entertainment at both resorts, for which he has big plans.
"It's a great time to be in Las Vegas where there is truly never a dull moment," says Weiss, a New York native. "On the heels of a successful pool season, we are focusing efforts to ramp up entertainment with two new shows at Tropicana and higher caliber acts at M Resort. We've also got some great plans in store for 2017, but I can't quite talk about those just yet."
Tropicana Las Vegas' new shows include Cherry Cherry Boom Boom, an explosively sexy, modern stage production, opening Wednesday, September 14, and the groundbreaking magic show, Band of Magicians, opening Wednesday, October 26. Both productions will perform inside the Tropicana Theater Wednesday through Monday, with Band of Musicians taking the stage at 7 p.m. and Cherry Cherry Boom Boom at 9 p.m.
In addition to launching exciting shows on Strip, Weiss is also raising the bar for entertainment off Strip. New entertainment acts at M Resort include the famed comic Gilbert Gottfried, who performed for a full house at M Resort earlier this month, and live country bands on Wednesday nights, joining the lineup of live musicians at Ravello Lounge. In the pipeline for 2017, Weiss also has plans to bring in higher caliber entertainment acts and reintroduce concerts at the 100,000 square-foot M Resort pool.
Cherry Cherry Boom Boom
A universal love story told through dance, acting, music and specialty acts, Cherry Cherry Boom Boom will introduce a genre of "Rock 'n Roll a Go-Go" featuring electrifying dance numbers set to heart-pounding rock classics by musicians ranging from Lenny Kravitz, to Led Zeppelin, to Joan Jett and Elvis. The show's team of female veteran producers, having worked with Pussy Cat Dolls, Prince, Madonna, Rihanna, Britney Spears and on the production MJ One, promise to deliver what they call the Boom Boom effect. Tickets start at $59, plus taxes and fees audience members must be at least 18 years of age.
Band of Magicians
Featuring an incredible team of four of the world's brightest young magicians, Band of Magicians is the world's first magic supergroup. Natural showmen James Galea (Australia), Stuart MacLeod (UK), Brett Loudermilk (USA) and Joel Ward (USA) took an unorthodox path and joined forces to create a groundbreaking magic show jam-packed with increasingly impossible feats of skill, great laughs and a pumping soundtrack. Tickets start at $39 plus tax and fees.
