New England Acura Kicks Off Marathon Weekend

BOSTON, April 15, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The New England Acura Dealers (NEADA), official automotive sponsor of the 2016 Boston Marathon, are hosting several events throughout Marathon Weekend, culminating with the long-awaited debut of the Acura NSX on April 18.

With only a few models produced so far, NEADA is providing a brand-new 2017 NSX to serve as the official Grand Marshal pace car, carrying legendary Bobbi Gibb – the first woman to run the Marathon 50 years ago. NEADA will also provide the entire Acura lineup as official pace cars.

"Getting the 2017 NSX for Marathon Weekend is huge," said Chris Connolly, NEADA president and GM of Herb Connolly Acura. "No other event brings people together like this, and the NSX will strengthen that bond."

NEADA will be providing the 2016 ILX to serve as the official B.A.A. 5K pace car and will display the 2017 NSX and the painted "We Are Boston" 2016 MDX at Boston Common and Copley Square. Guests are invited to design posters for their runners. As the sponsor for the Boston Children's Hospital Miles for Miracles Team, NEADA's runners and friends are also invited to make posters in support of the patients and runners at Westin Copley.

NEADA will be in Copley Square with brand representatives and the Acura lineup on display. Guests will be able to enter the NEADA's "Set the Pace Giveaway" for a chance to win $500 to the Boston Marathon adidas RunBase shop! Guests can also enter at www.NEAcuraDealers.com/Giveaway. The 2016 MDX and ILX will be on display at the official Pre-Race Pasta Dinner at City Hall Plaza.

See Grand Marshal Bobbi Gibb and the 2017 NSX set the pace along the racecourse. Stop by NEADA booths in Wellesley and Brookline to see the Acura lineup. NEADA is providing an Acura Family Meeting Area by the finish line for runners to reconnect with their supporters. NEADA will also be at the official Mile 27 Post-Race Party at Fenway Park with the 2017 NSX and 2016 MDX on display.
