New Education Coalition Launches in L.A.

WHO:

CLASS – Communities for Los Angeles Student Success – a coalition of major civil rights, parent and community organizations that want to ensure that every child receives a quality public school education to prepare them for college and 21^st century careers.

WHAT:

As a new mayor, city council and school board members prepare to take office, CLASS is urging officials to put students at the forefront of the city's priorities. The new coalition will also release the results of a broad-based survey of more than 100 influential L.A. organizations, demonstrating broad support for policies that transform low-performing schools, improve access to quality teaching and ensure adequate resources for all students.
