Advances and technological developments in mobile devices, social media and cloud computing, which have helped to change enterprise IT and enabled new ways of working, also present potential opportunities for criminals to exploit. Public agencies and private enterprises alike are exposed to multiple threat vectors, including fraud, security breaches, cyber espionage, and activist hackers. As the pace of IT development accelerates and cyber threats multiply, security functions have failed to evolve to meet the challenges posed in today's business, IT and threat landscape.
