New Cyberbullying Messages Stick It to Social Networks
#TakeNoBullies Adds New Stickers for National Bullying Prevention Month
NEW YORK, Oct. 14, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- MySecuritySign is well-armed to #TakeNoBullies during National Bullying Prevention Month. A new set of anti-bullying messages marks the next milestone in the nationally recognized campaign. These buttons and stickers are given to schools, youth programs, and bullying prevention organizers to help promote positive messages, proactive attitudes, and empowered communities.
"The culture of bullying won't end until people across the country take action and show kids that they care," says Julie Hertzog, director of PACER's National Bullying Prevention Center.
To counter bullying culture, MySecuritySign's #TakeNoBullies campaign aims to help create a positive digital world. The campaign is adding six new positive social media stickers and buttons to its line. The sixteen stickers contain proactive statements about popular social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Instagram, Snapchat, Pinterest, and Google+. A sticker replicating the look of Instagram advises individuals to "Say #latergram to bullying." The new Snapchat sticker says, "Think twice. Snap nice." Other stickers play on popular cultural references, such as "All you need is likes."
Mike Miles, Social Media Manager at MySecuritySign, said, "With these new sticker and button designs, we are extending our mission to include more social networks like Snapchat, while continuing to build upon our positive messaging against cyberbullying."
MySecuritySign launched #TakeNoBullies, a campaign to help eliminate cyberbullying and promote digital citizenship. MySecuritySign is part of the SmartSign family, an e-commerce company that creates signs, labels, tags, and mats, including bully-free school zone signs.
