New CVSL Web Site Goes Live
DALLAS, April 4, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- A newly-designed web site for Computer Vision Systems Laboratories Corp. (CVSL) went live today, featuring a new company logo and information about the strategy the company is pursuing in the direct selling channel.
The web site address is www.cvsl.us.com. Included on the site is a summary of the company's business philosophy and biographies of its chairman, John Rochon, and members of the board of directors. The site also includes company news releases and access to SEC filings, as well as the company's stock quote. The site will be continually updated as new releases are issued, filings are made and as additional companies become part of CVSL.
CVSL made note of recent news reports regarding the use of social media outlets such as Facebook and Twitter to disseminate company news and information. On April 3, the New York Times reported that "regulators said that companies could treat social media as legitimate outlets for communication, much like corporate web sites or the [SEC's] own public filing system… Corporations have to make clear which Twitter feeds or Facebook pages will serve as potential outlets for announcements."
Mr. Rochon noted that The Longaberger Company, which became part of CVSL last month, may use its Twitter feeds or Facebook pages, including CEO Tami Longaberger's Twitter and Facebook comments, to communicate business information. CVSL itself and future CVSL companies may also use social media to communicate such information.
