New Crittercism Data Shows iOS 8 Adoption Surpasses iOS 7

SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 30, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Crittercism, the leader in mobile App Performance Management (mAPM), today released data on the performance and adoption of Apple's iOS 8. According to data collected through Wednesday, October 29, iOS 8 adoption has surpassed iOS 7, with a rate of 48.06%, compared to iOS 7's 47.8%. The new OS has also seen substantial improvement in performance since late September with its crash rate dropping from 3.56% to 2.64% - a 34.85% improvement. Along with the new data, the company launched the industry's first mobile performance benchmark dashboard, data.crittercism.com, designed to track Android and iOS performance, adoption and latency on a day-to-day basis.

Insights housed on data.crittercism.com are based on aggregated and anonymized data from Crittercism's mAPM solution and offer businesses detailed insight into the current state of the mobile industry. All findings are drawn from an analysis of Crittercism's 1B users, including more than 30,000 mobile app requests per second from more than 20,000 apps in 120 countries.
