New Courtyard by Marriott and Champions Restaurant Downtown Fort Wayne to Open Soon

MERRILLVILLE, Ind., July 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Excitement is building as the new Courtyard by Marriott and Champions Restaurant Downtown Fort Wayne nears completion.  The property, managed by White Lodging of Merrillville, Indiana will open September 1, 2010. The opening comes three weeks earlier than originally scheduled and in time to accommodate guests for the popular Cord Duesenberg Festival in Auburn, Indiana and the final home games of the year for the Fort Wayne Tin Caps.

This 250 room hotel is part of the new mixed-use revitalization developments in downtown Fort Wayne and Harrison Square. Offering over 6,000 square feet of meeting space including a spacious ballroom that seats up to 250 people, the property can accommodate both business and social events. An over-the-street enclosed walkway will provide easy and convenient access for guests desiring to attend events at the Embassy Theatre and Grand Wayne Convention Center.
