Qualcomm Incorporated Analyst Notes
On April 3, 2014, Qualcomm Incorporated (Qualcomm) announced that its subsidiary Qualcomm Atheros, Inc. (Qualcomm Atheros) is delivering the first Qualcomm VIVE 4-stream 802.11ac solutions with multi-user MIMO (MU-MIMO) to significantly improve Wi-Fi performance for the growing number of connected devices in homes, offices, and public hotspots. The Company informed that the new solutions which are enhanced with Qualcomm Atheros' innovative algorithm-based technology will offer two to three times more network capacity. The Company added that MU-MIMO enables simultaneous transmission to groups of clients, making more efficient use of available Wi-Fi network capacity and speeding up transmissions. Nokia Corporation Analyst Notes

Ciena Corporation Analyst Notes
On April 1, 2014, Ciena Corporation (Ciena) reported that its strategic partner British Telecommunications' (BT) local access network business, Openreach, outlined its plans to extend its suite of high-bandwidth optical services for communication provider customers. According to the Company, supported by Ciena's 6500 Packet-Optical Platform, the new services will enable communications providers to transport larger amounts of data, over longer distances, in a more cost effective way. The Company stated that the new capability includes the first ever UK-wide 100Gbps service, delivering ten times more traffic capacity than existing solutions and is expected to become available in April 2014. (dtac), a subsidiary of Thailand's second-largest mobile operator Total Access Communication PLC (dtac), has assigned Ericsson to deploy a 4G/LTE network.
