ALISO VIEJO, Calif., Dec. 6, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Ringler, the nation's largest settlement planning company in the nation, is pleased to announce that the Ringler Board of Directors has elected Brian M. Farrell, Jr., Chairman in the company's succession plan, as outgoing Chairman Ross Duncan retires from the Board.
Mr. Farrell joined Ringler in 2009, managing the Connecticut Ringler operation. In addition to his depth of knowledge in post-settlement planning, Mr. Farrell has over a decade of experience in the property casualty claim industry, including management of multiple field office settings with Travelers Insurance and Aetna Life and Casualty. Mr. Farrell has been serving on the Ringler Board of Directors and was elected Vice Chairman last year. Following the unanimous Board vote, Mr. Farrell takes over as Chairman immediately saying, "I am very thankful to my colleagues who place their faith in me to lead Ringler. President and CEO, Geoff Hunt is putting the finishing touches on his management team and we are positioned to be even stronger as a leading firm in our industry. My heartfelt thanks to Ross for all he's done for us and supporting me in succeeding him as Chairman. Ross' thought leadership and decision-making have positioned us to be the $2 billion gross premium firm we are today."
Mr. Duncan has served as Ringler's Chairman since 2012. He has been a Board member since 2003 and joined Ringler in 1984. President and CEO, Geoffrey E. Hunt notes, "Ross has provided steady and caring leadership as Chairman and that is deeply appreciated across the Ringler organization." Upon announcing his retirement from the Board of Directors, Mr. Duncan said, "It has been a true honor and the hallmark of my career to have served my colleagues for four years as chairman of Ringler and to have worked with such great people since I joined Ringler 32 years ago. We have so many exciting initiatives underway supporting the recent rebranding of our firm and it is appropriate to turn the helm over to the next generation. I couldn't think of a better leader for the next chapters of Ringler than Brian." Mr. Duncan will continue to work as senior leader of the team of consultants in Ringler's Philadelphia operation – his home base.
