New Business Networking Opportunity Comes to San Jose
Council of Business Advisors Launches New Group October 8th
SAN JOSE, Calif., Sept. 30, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Council of Business Advisors, a Bay Area business-to-business network for experienced professionals, is expanding to San Jose. The group's monthly breakfast meetings, hosted by City National Bank, are held on the second Wednesday of each month, starting October 8, 2014.
Membership in the Council is open to experienced professionals who work as trusted advisors to business owners and executives. People who fit the membership profile are invited to attend as guests at no charge. See www.councilofbusinessadvisors.org/membership.php. Invitations may be requested by emailing [email protected] or calling 415-456-6265. Meeting details are included in the invitation.
This is the Council's sixth group in the San Francisco Bay Area. The other five groups are in Palo Alto, Oakland, Walnut Creek, and two in San Francisco. Matthew Wheeler, partner with LMGW Certified Public Accountants LLP in Saratoga, is the leader of the new San Jose group. Mr. Wheeler, who has been a member of the Council since 2010, says, "I am excited to be taking on a leadership role in the organization and helping to expand the Council in Silicon Valley."
Each member gets exclusivity in his or her area of specialization in the group. In other words, there is only one management consultant, one tax accountant, one marketing consultant, and so forth in each group. Members may also attend the meetings of all the Council's other groups as part of their membership.
About the Council: The Council of Business Advisors is a business association that was founded in 2007 by a core group of Bay Area professionals who wanted a better forum to improve their own capabilities and expand their networks of professional resources and contacts.
Drawing on their experiences with other professional associations and business groups, the founders developed a format and structure for the Council to maximize the value of membership for each member. Since that time, the Council has continued to grow, drawing on suggestions from its members, and to expand with additional groups on the basis of demand.
