New Brother™ P-touch® PT-H300 Offers Professionals Advanced "Take-It-Anywhere" Functionality For Labeling And Organization
Battery-powered design, backlit display and one-touch buttons enable organization away from traditional fixed workspaces.
BRIDGEWATER, N.J., June 18, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Today Brother International Corporation, a leader in technology and organizational products for the home and office, launched its new Brother P-touch® PT-H300, a portable, handheld label maker with high-end features typically reserved for desktop models.
Designed for professionals looking to organize and label outside of a fixed workspace, this "take-it-anywhere" model offers advanced features such as a Brother™ Vivid Bright backlit graphic display for easy previewing in virtually any lighting condition indoors or out, intuitive one-touch formatting keys, and a library of 14 fonts, 617 symbols and 99 frames. The PT-H300 boasts fast print speeds and produces large, durable labels with up to five lines for clear, detailed labeling in any environment.
Brother identified a need for a portable, handheld label maker that could perform like a desktop model and offer more robust features than the typical handheld machine. The new PT-H300 is specifically designed for professionals such as retailers, sound engineers, event planners, and entrepreneurs who rely on labeling and organization away from the typical office. It further supports a "take-it-anywhere" work style with its convenient wrist strap, fast print speeds and large QWERTY-style keyboard.
"There are many professionals for whom 'the office' can mean anything from a theater to a food truck to a floral shop," said Linda Sanford, Brother Director of Marketing for Labeling Products. "With the launch of the new PT-H300, we can now offer the robust features and flexibility of a desktop machine in a handheld solution for all of the labeling and organizing their business requires."
In addition to the PT-H300, Brother is introducing the PT-H300LI model for those that prefer a rechargeable Li-ion battery that lasts for approximately 20 tape cartridges – 6,288 inches of labels – on a single charge.
Available in June 2013 for an estimated street price of $69.99*, the PT-H300 provides the following "take-it-anywhere" features:
- Handheld design with wrist strap to safely hold and transport
- Brother Vivid Bright backlit display for easy viewing in any lighting
- Large QWERTY-style keyboard
- Ability to create large, durable TZe laminated labels with up to five lines of text

The PT-H300LI, also available in June for an estimated street price of $109.99* will offer the same features as the PT-H300 and will include Li-ion rechargeable battery and AC power adapter in place of 6 AA batteries.
Labeling needs continue to move to more diverse locations, and P-touch® labels are designed to be durable enough to withstand the elements. They can even be wiped clean when dirty, making them a great alternative to the traditional masking-tape-and-marker method. The decorative label features offer users a unique opportunity to personalize projects to reflect a business' distinct character and services. For truly stand-out labels for almost any application, users may choose from over 50 tape sizes, types and color combinations, ranging from extra-strength adhesive, cable and wire and fabric iron-on**.
