New Bright Horizons Foundation For Children Bright Space Opens at Northamptonshire Women's Aid Refuge
NORTHAMPTON, England, July 23, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --
The Bright Horizons Foundation for Children has opened a new Bright Space at a Women's Aid refuge in Northamptonshire. The ribbon was cut in an officially ceremony on July 22nd 2014.
The Bright Horizons Foundation for Children aims to improve the quality of life for at-risk children in the communities where Bright Horizons Family Solutions employees live and work. The Foundation does this using their Bright Spaces programme, which creates appropriate play and learning areas called Bright Spaces for children of all ages living in temporary accommodation. The focus of the new Bright Space at the Women's Aid refuge has been the transformation of the living room into a cosy area for mothers and their children to relax, socialise and play safely.
The Northamptonshire refuge provides a safe, secure and confidential accommodation within Northamptonshire for women and their children who are fleeing domestic violence or the threat of domestic violence. The Bright Horizons Foundation for children have previously partnered with the Refuge in 2010 to create a Bright Space in the garden.
Tracy Wilkes-Green, Foundation Manager at Bright Horizons, is thrilled to again be partnering with the Women's Aid, "Following on from our previous Bright Space at the refuge, it's great to be once again supporting the charity. The Bright Space will provide an area for the mothers and children to relax, socialise and play in a safe stimulating environment."
