New BGAN Money Bundles From Stratos Offer All BGAN Services for One Predictable Fee
--Major Stratos customer from New Zealand is first to activate new package--
BETHESDA, MD, Oct. 21 /PRNewswire/ - Stratos Global, the leading global provider of advanced mobile and fixed-site remote communications solutions, today announced the immediate availability of its new BGAN Money Bundle packages that enable customers to utilize all Inmarsat BGAN services for one predictable subscription fee.
While existing BGAN allowance packages offer specific allocations of data or voice minutes, the new BGAN Money Bundles include all BGAN traffic types - including standard IP, streaming IP, ISDN, voice and SMS - for a single monthly, quarterly or annual fee.
Stratos was the first Inmarsat Distribution Partner to activate the new BGAN Money Bundles on the September 1st program launch date. The world's first BGAN Money Bundle package activation was for a major customer of Stratos' New Zealand Channel Partner Wright Satellite Connections (www.satconnections.co.nz). Stratos also has activated its first Money Bundle Shared Corporate Allowance Plan (SCAP) for a customer in Singapore.
BGAN (Broadband Global Area Network) uses highly portable, lightweight terminals to provide simultaneous, high-speed IP data (up to 492 kbps) and voice connectivity anywhere in the world. BGAN is ideally suited to enable communications in areas where terrestrial or cellular networks are damaged, congested or non-existent.
BGAN Money Bundles from Stratos are available across all familiar BGAN usage plans, including Geographic plans, Single-SIM Premium & Flexible plans, and Multi-SIM SCAP plans. Stratos Dashboard has been upgraded with these new packages, enabling customers to self-activate all BGAN Money Bundles. Since the program launch, Stratos has been offering a BGAN Money Bundle customer training program and dedicated customer support to help its Channel Partners implement these new packages in their systems.
"Our new BGAN Money Bundles provide customers with the industry's highest levels of flexibility and economic value," said Stratos President and CEO Jim Parm. "These new packages eliminate unused allowances, offer ultimate predictability and accommodate any BGAN traffic type - with subscription plans to meet any operating budget. Also, customers can continue to benefit from Stratos Dashboard high-usage alerts to control BGAN costs."
