New Auto Claims Process Goes Digital in Allstate Mobile(SM) App
QuickFoto Claim(SM) uses pictures of a customer's damaged vehicle to help speed up a claim, all from a smartphone.
NORTHBROOK, Ill., Sept. 24, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Settling an auto claim can now be done in a snap. The snap of a few pictures on a smartphone sent through the Allstate Mobile app can now result in a quick, efficient settlement of a customer's auto claim, the company announced today.
QuickFoto Claim is a new feature available to customers who have an accident and qualify for the fast, new claims process. The innovative tool helps settle some auto claims by submitting photos of the damaged vehicle through the Allstate Mobile app on their smartphone.
Starting with availability in 10 states across the South and Southwestern United States, Allstate expects QuickFoto Claim to be available in the majority of states by the end of the year.
"QuickFoto Claim enhances the customer experience by offering an easier, faster option to help settle a claim," says Allstate Claims Executive Vice President Michael Roche. "More than half of Allstate's customers have a smartphone, so connectivity on the go is clearly important to them and that means it's important to us."

For customers with qualifying claims who choose to use QuickFoto Claim, simple directions on their phone will guide them through the process. Using the new app feature, customers take photos of their vehicle and the damaged area, and then submit the photos through the Allstate Mobile app. The photos are then reviewed by Allstate and an estimate is sent back electronically to the customer.
"QuickFoto Claim is the latest in a series of claims-related capabilities within Allstate Mobile designed to enhance our customers' mobile experiences with Allstate," says Marketing Senior Vice President Bob Wasserman. "This new capability make the claims process even easier and more convenient."
Allstate was awarded a patent in June for the innovative app feature known as 'Feedback Loop in Mobile Damage Assessment and Claims Processing' by the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
QuickFoto Claim complements Allstate's mobile claims portfolio that allows customers to access policy and agent information on-the-go along with easy tools to use in the event they're involved in an accident. The app allows customers to document accident details, start a claim, view the status of an existing claim, see their claim payment history or even send messages to their claim representative. Beyond the claims functionality, Allstate Mobile is also used by tens of thousands of customers each month to pay their insurance premiums through their smartphone.
The Allstate Mobile app is available for free download in the iTunes App Store or Google Play. For more information about all of the company's available mobile tools, please visit: www.allstate.com/mobile.
