Metabo's new technology replaces the traditional backing flange with an auto-balancing flange pressed onto the spindle. Out of balance conditions of the accessory are automatically offset by ball bearings in the auto-balancing flange, greatly reducing the vibration transmitted to the operator.
This new auto-balance system reduces the risk of cumulative work related disorders such as white finger syndrome, minimizes operator fatigue and increases the life of the grinding disc by a minimum of 50%. Reduction in vibration also extends the longevity of the tool by at least 50%.
Ideal for cutting and grinding applications, the WA11-125 Quick features a long-lasting 9.6 A motor and a no-load speed of 10,000 rpm. It delivers 1,100 watts of power and 26.9 inch-lbs of torque. The grinder weighs just 5.9 lb.
The WA11-125 Quick has an improved and sonically-balanced fan paired with improved venting and more efficient internal ducting that increases air flow over the motor by 15%.
In addition to the auto-balance technology, the grinder also features Metabo's Vibratech (MVT) side handle that helps to further reduce vibration for increased user comfort over an extended work period.
Metabo's Quick toolless wheel change system saves time and energy when replacing wheels, increases productivity and lowers overall cost. Other tool safety features include a toolless locking wheel guard with seven positions and Metabo's "S-Automatic" safety slip clutch that reduces the possibility of kickback by absorbing the torque created should the wheel bind or snag.
The WA11-125 Quick has one of the most effective dust protection systems on the market. The system, which helps to prolong tool life, includes an encapsulated on/off switch and auto-stop carbon brushes, double-lipped labyrinth sealed bearings and Metabo's unique dust-deflecting winding protection grid and epoxy coated field coil windings.
