New Audiobooks.com Podcast Brings Listeners Into the Hidden World of Audiobooks
Newly Launched Podcast Gives Listeners Access to Authors, Narrators, and Industry Buzz
TORONTO, Sept. 17, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Audiobooks.com is excited to announce the launch of The Audiobooks.com Podcast, a weekly podcast series that will bring listeners deeper into the hidden world of audiobooks.
The podcast is hosted by Brian Kane (a.k.a "The Real Brian") and Addy Saucedo, both veteran podcasters and lifelong book lovers. Each week, they offer audiobook reviews, feature new releases, and help inform listeners about which titles deserve their attention. They also discuss trends in the audiobook industry, publishing- and book-world buzz, and news about updates to the Audiobooks.com service. In upcoming episodes, Brian and Addy will be interviewing people of interest in the audiobook world including authors, narrators, and audio publishers, among others. The list of upcoming guests includes prolific narrators Patrick Lawlor and Carol Monda as well as entrepreneur Pat Flynn of the "Smart Passive Income" blog and podcast. Eight episodes have been released to date.
The mission of the new podcast is to give listeners better access and insight into audiobooks both as an industry and a source for entertainment. "Audiobooks and the way they're created is something that, to most people, has an air of mystery surrounding it, but is a real source of curiosity," says Sanjay Singhal, Audiobooks.com CEO. "Launching this podcast is our way of pulling back the curtain and allowing audiobook listeners to connect with and learn more about the medium that they enjoy. It gives them a glimpse into our industry from behind the scenes, and will hopefully help them to discover lots of new titles that they'll enjoy listening to."
The podcast is available for free through iTunes, Stitcher and a number of Android podcast apps, as well as through the Audiobooks.com website and mobile apps. A new episode is released every Tuesday.
