New Ad: Catholics should defend religious freedom by voting for Romney-Ryan
CHICAGO, Oct. 31, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The CatholicVote.org Candidate Fund released their latest election video ad. It is aimed at independent Catholic voters across the country. The video, "This is Religious Freedom" urges Catholics to defend religious liberty against the attacks by the Obama administration's HHS Mandate by casting their ballot for Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan.
Joshua Mercer, Executive Director of the CatholicVote.org Candidate Fund said, "Before the election of Barack Obama, religious freedom wasn't a partisan issue, it was something everyone believed in and defended. But desperate to win reelection, Obama has sought to pander to certain people by gender and by religion through this unjust HHS mandate. Any politician who would attack our soup kitchens, hospitals and schools is morally unworthy of our votes. That is why Catholics should vote for Romney-Ryan."
Mercer said that both candidates are campaigning in key swing states all which contain large Catholic votes: Wisconsin, Iowa, Ohio, and now Minnesota and Pennsylvania.
"In this final week of the presidential campaign, the Catholic vote remains the most critical swing demographic. That's why we're doing everything we can to make sure independent Catholic voters know: Mitt Romney will restore religious freedom on 'day one,'" said Mercer.
The CatholicVote.org Candidate Fund has spent $290,000 on independent expenditures to help their endorsed candidates in the general election 2012 campaign.

Throughout history
American Catholics have worked hard...
to educate our children...
care for the sick...
feed the hungry...
clothe the naked...
This is what Religious Freedom looks like.
We must vote to protect
our schools,
our hospitals,
our charities,
our faith.
We won't have social justice
unless we defend religious freedom.
Catholics for Romney - Ryan.
