New 60V, 100V Photorelays from Toshiba Feature Industry's Smallest Mounting Area
Offer Very Low On-Resistance and On/Off Switching of High Currents
Offer Very Low On-Resistance and On/Off Switching of High Currents
IRVINE, Calif., May 25, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Toshiba America Electronic Components, Inc. (TAEC)* has added two high-current products to its lineup of photorelays housed in S-VSON4[1] packages – which feature the industry's smallest mounting area[2]. The new 60V TLP3407S and 100V TLP3409S offer very low on-resistance and on/off switching of high currents, making them suited to switching applications in high-speed testers.
Toshiba's S-VSON4 package reduces the mounting area by 22.5 percent when compared to its VSON4 package[3]. This photorelay series also increases the operating temperature from 85°C to 110°C, and contributes to improved design efficiency by reducing the size of the tester board, increasing the number of relay circuits and improving integration density.
The TLP3407S and TLP3409S achieve high voltages while retaining the features of Toshiba's existing TLP3406S, which offers a 30V, large ON-state current rating in the same small S-VSON4 package. The higher voltages offer support for DPS[4] applications of semiconductor test equipment. Other applications for these devices include: probe cards, medical equipment and replacement for mechanical relays.
