Neverware and Samsung Partner to Deliver Bundled Offering for School Districts
Bundled Solution Provides Cost-Effective Approach to One-to-one Learning
NEW YORK, Jan. 13, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Neverware and Samsung Electronics America have announced a new partnership to speed adoption of one-to-one learning and help leverage existing hardware in school districts around the country. Neverware, a Google for Education Partner, created CloudReady OS so that schools can have the Chromebook experience they already love on the PCs and Macs they already own. Computers can be converted with CloudReady and fully integrated with the Google Management console alongside their Samsung Chromebooks.
Samsung and Neverware will offer a bundle which combines Samsung's new Chromebook 3 devices, CloudReady licenses, and Google Management Licenses. "We chose to partner with Neverware because CloudReady is an innovative solution for maximizing the value of legacy computers," said Ted Brodheim, vice president of Vertical Business at Samsung Electronics America. "This bundle allows schools to unify existing hardware and brand new Chromebooks under a single platform for a cost-effective and efficient approach to one-to-one adoption."
CloudReady is already in use by over 200 school districts in 38 US states and 10 countries. Since CloudReady is built from the same code that powers Chromebooks, it offers integration with Google Apps and the Google Management Console. The bundled solution includes:
- 100 Samsung Chromebook 3 devices
- 100 CloudReady licenses for existing computers
- 200 Google Device Management Console licenses
- Tech support
Licenses are perpetual and included in the cost of the bundle. Schools can trial CloudReady for free at neverware.com
