CallXpress is a unified communications platform that transforms productivity through applications such as call processing, voicemail, unified messaging, personal assistant, fax, speech and notification. With Neverfail, AVST provides CallXpress 8.1 users with protection from interrupted access and downtime that results in loss of productivity and revenue or damages a brand.
"AVST is focused on providing our customers with the most resilient, unified communications platform available," said Tom Minifie, CTO, of AVST. "In today's tough economic climate any communication downtime affects mission critical operations which is why we strive to ensure uninterrupted unified communications access with CallXpress 8.1. We expanded our use of Neverfail to provide integrated high availability and disaster recovery in a single solution. Using Neverfail has allowed us to deliver what our customers need in the most effective way possible. CallXpress 8.1 includes three-tier failover protection with Neverfail because they offer a very compelling solution that provides our required level of enterprise resiliency in a single business continuity platform. Put simply, it eliminates downtime for our CallXpress users."
Using Neverfail Tertiary™ with CallXpress's unified communications platform enables a trio of servers to be configured to protect against multiple failure points. For example, if there is a series of failures such as an application failure and a power outage, users will retain their ability to make and answer calls, and retrieve voicemail messages. With Neverfail, if the secondary or tertiary server is called into use, it automatically will failover operations transparently across the three servers, eliminating all failure scenarios to guard against expensive downtime and maintaining continuous user access. In addition, Neverfail manages the synchronization between the sites, enabling seamless switchback when the primary systems are restored, so users do not even notice the transition.
"In 2009 AVST selected Neverfail's technology to ensure continuous availability for email, voicemail in all vital applications in CallXpress 8. We are delighted that AVST has now enabled Neverfail Tertiary to make CallXpress' mission-critical applications fully disaster resilient," said Andrew Barnes, senior vice president of corporate development for Neverfail. "We know that AVST's customers depend on continuous access to their unified communications platform to run their business and we are dedicated to providing AVST the technology that their customers need for business continuity."
