LOS ANGELES, April 13, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Neuropathy Action Foundation (NAF), a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to providing neuropathy patients with the resources and information necessary to improve their quality of life, announced that registration is now open for its 9^th Annual "Neuropathy Action Awareness Day," an all-day educational event on June 18^th in Los Angeles. "Neuropathy Action Awareness Day" will be the largest neuropathy gathering in the United States this year and will bring together patients and caregivers from across the country to learn about neuropathy, strategies for managing the painful condition, and empowering patients to become advocates for their own health care.

"Neuropathy Action Awareness Day" provides an opportunity for patients to interact with other patients, providers and exhibitors. The event consists of a full day of educational presentations, luncheon, exhibit area and silent auction. Celebrity internist and board certified nutrition specialist, Melina Jampolis, MD will speak during the luncheon on "Food As Medicine: Improve Health, Increase Vitality and Live Longer." Other speakers will include:

Richard Lewis, MD, Director EMG Laboratory and Co-Director Neuromuscular Clinic, Cedars-Sinai, will illustrate the understanding of a neurologist's approach to the diagnosis and treatment of neuropathy;
Said R. Beydoun, MD, Professor of Neurology, Keck Medical Center of USC University of Southern California, will discuss CIDP and MMN;
Lawrence Taw, MD, Assistant Clinical Professor, UCLA Center for East-West Medicine, David Geffen School of Medicine, will address an East-West Medicine Approach to Neuropathy;
Jeffrey Ralph, MD, Associate Clinical Professor, University of California, San Francisco, will give a talk on unusual neuropathies.
