Network For Good Brings Together Nonprofit Industry Experts To Address Changing Charitable Giving Landscape & #GivingTuesday
Leaders in the Nonprofit Industry, including 92nd Street Y, The Chronicle of Philanthropy, Facebook and Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Join Forces to Discuss the Changing Landscape of Charitable Giving, the DNA of a Donor and How Nonprofits Should Respond
WASHINGTON, Nov. 13, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Network for Good, a software and services company focused on helping nonprofits, attract, engage and retain a community of donors, opened registration for its November 14, 2017 virtual conference. The conference will bring together leaders in the nonprofit world to answer questions from attendees about how charitable giving has been changed by technology, what nonprofits should be doing to continue to gain community involvement for causes and how to move to a more sustainable model of charitable contributions, communities and cause-related movements. As 2017 comes to a close, we've seen an extraordinary year of natural disasters and giving that has brought attention to the idea that the DNA of a donor is changing, moment-in-time/seasonal giving isn't the only answer.
In addition to speaking the conference, Facebook and the Gates Foundation have pledged a total of $2M in matching grants for the first $2M raised on #GivingTuesday. The insights shared at this online session are designed to help participants get their share of the matching funds.
"It is so important for those in the nonprofit sector to come together as a community and share knowledge, insight and best practices as often as possible, especially to talk about the innovations that are fundamentally changing our world and how we can best harness them for good," said Asha Curran, Chief Innovation Officer, 92nd Street Y. "I'm looking forward to taking part in this online event and offering lessons learned from the #GivingTuesday perspective."
The four-hour virtual conference will give participants uncommon access to industry leaders all in one event to answer key questions about the charitable giving landscape. Today Millennials, technology advancements, historic data, and intelligence are all coming together to alter the course of the charitable giving sector and nonprofits needs to change with the audiences they are trying to attract. This conference will focus on strategies, tactics, technology, best practices, and general insights for the community to glean from while building a path towards sustainable giving versus the current 'moment-in-time' mentality.
"As with any industry, charitable giving has seen its share of changes, but unlike others small to medium-sized nonprofits often don't have the resources to keep up with the changes," said Brian Lauterbach, Chief Impact Officer, Network for Good. "With the types of changes we've seen to date, it's important that we work together to ensure that nonprofits have up-to-date knowledge on how to make an impact and interact with their exact right donor audience."
Seating is limited. Nonprofits of all sizes are encouraged to register as soon as possible.
