Netskope Launches Channel Partner Program to Drive Enterprise Cloud App Enablement
Company hires 20-year channel veteran Gary Ochs as VP of Channel Sales to help partners deliver cloud app analytics and policy to their enterprise customers
LOS ALTOS, Calif., April 8, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Netskope, the leader in cloud app analytics and policy enforcement, today announced its Channel Partner Program to help enterprises and their channel partners enable cloud app usage in a secure and compliant way. Netskope also named 20-year channel veteran Gary Ochs vice president of channel sales to lead the Netskope Channel Partner Program through this period of rapid growth.
As companies continue to adopt cloud apps at a staggering rate, the market for cloud app security has expanded as IT tries to keep up and protect sensitive data. Research firm Gartner estimates that 90 percent of IT spend will happen outside of the IT organization over the next 10 years. Netskope partners now have the platform, tools, solutions and support to help their customers navigate this dramatic shift and keep the business safe, while still enabling employees to use the cloud apps they love.
Gary Ochs joins Netskope after serving as vice president of business development and channel executive at IBM's Q1 Labs for 10 years. Netskope established its partner program to ease partner integration, and provide support for partners that maximizes the value they provide to customers with the Netskope Active Platform™. Netskope currently has a dozen new partners including GuidePoint Security, Critical Start and CMI.
"There are times in the technology adoption curve where enterprises find it challenging to keep up with fundamental paradigm changes and look to their trusted partners to help them address their needs," said Ochs. "The rapid rise of cloud apps in the enterprise has changed the face of business as we know it and created risks that CIOs and CSOs now need to account for. Shadow IT is a big concern, and our partners are instrumental in helping enterprise make a safe and compliant transition to the cloud, so they can stop saying 'no' to new cloud apps and start saying 'yes'."
Netskope partners can deliver the Netskope Active Platform to customers in need of real-time, scalable, and context-driven cloud app analytics and policies. Netskope Active is the industry's only platform that provides context-aware cloud data loss prevention (DLP), encryption, and anomaly detection in real-time for any cloud app, whether the app is managed by IT or not. Created to help enterprises unmask "Shadow IT" usage and enforce policies that protect sensitive information and prevent data loss, Netskope Active improves compliance with data governance rules across industries while supporting the use of cloud apps that enable employees to get their jobs done. By joining this program, Netskope partners have access to sales and technical training, and a partner demo site to assist in providing Netskope products to their customers.
"At GuidePoint Security, providing value to our customers and helping them protect their business is our top priority. Netskope's seamless integration and deep analytics provide ease of use and context for our clients, so they can not only protect their business, but also gain insights to make their organization more efficient," said Michael Volk, Founder and Managing Partner of GuidePoint. "By becoming a Netskope partner, we have the tools we need to offer our customers the best cloud app visibility, monitoring, usage guidelines and policy controls."
