NetMotion Wireless, Feeney Wireless Announce Partnership with Sprint as Billed Business Application Partners
SEATTLE and EUGENE, Ore., March 1, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Sprint business customers can now pay for NetMotion Wireless Mobility XE mobile VPN software via their Sprint bills, allowing them to pay a monthly fee for the software rather than a licensing charge on laptops, PDAs and smartphones using Microsoft Windows.
The Village of Ashwaubenon is one such customer looking to benefit from the newly announced business model. Located near Green Bay Wisconsin, Ashwaubenon's public safety organization serves a population 18,000 people with a working population of 50,000. The Village is adding NetMotion Wireless Mobility XE as part of its technology infrastructure that already includes computerized dispatching and records programs, automatic vehicle locator systems, and fire/EMS reporting software.
"This program provides us with easy access to NetMotion Wireless," said Kris VerVaeren, Commander of Operations, Ashwaubenon Public Safety. "We are able to add on licenses and immediately realize the productivity benefits of the software."
NetMotion Wireless offers a mobile VPN for enterprise mobility workers who need secure reliable wireless access to critical data and applications. Whether they drive to multiple locations or roam between floors or buildings on a corporate campus, workers remain productive while they access different networks, cross coverage gaps or suspend and resume their devices. The billing arrangement includes implementation services and access to best practices. Feeney Wireless will provide customers with engineering guidance, mobile solutions expertise and implementation oversight. "Our goal is to create a successful deployment and a positive customer experience", said Bob Ralston, President of Feeney Wireless.
Andy Willett, senior vice president of sales and marketing for NetMotion Wireless, said, "We are pleased to expand our existing relationships with Feeney Wireless and Sprint, and implement this billing option for our customers' convenience."
