NE·TIGER chairman and founder Zhang Zhifeng, in his evocative and stirring pre-launch speech, asked all participants to use the congenial atmosphere of the forum as an opportunity to exchange ideas. The speech, titled "From China, To the World ", opened with a short video about Chinese silk, reminding all attendees of the indisputable fact that China is influencing world fashion with its strong buying power and, just as importantly, that most luxury items the world over can trace their roots back to China.
Luxury goods - Chinese silk, porcelain, ceramics, silver, gold and jade, as well as its tea - have been part and parcel of Chinese civilization since ancient times. These items have conquered the world, and gone further than their counterparts in western countries in terms of cultural connotation, artistic attainment and craftsmanship. China's luxury brands, richly imbued with the country's cultural traditions, are now making their way around the world and aggressively differentiating themselves from the major Western fashion brands, with NE·TIGER leading the change. Having taken on the mission of "reviving China's luxury civilization and building up Chinese luxury brand", NE·TIGER, the self-appointed heir, defender and guardian of Chinese apparel culture, is thinking and acting independently, especially in the creation of one of the world's top brands. Rooted in five thousand years of Chinese culture and as an advocate of the design concept of "Integrate Antiquity to the Present, Converge Chinese and Western", NE·TIGER has brought together sufficient assets and amassed the influence necessary to match the pace of century-old European brands.
During its development, NE·TIGER has not only pioneered the revolutionary design concept behind their line of "Huafu" dresses, but also incorporated traditional Chinese techniques including the 4,000-year-old silk tapestry, the 3,000-year-old embroidery and 1,580-year-old Yun brocade processes into the uniquely stylized clothing line, giving people today an opportunity to see and even be proud wearers of rare handmade clothes which, just yesterday, were on the verge of extinction. At the same time, the designer continuously promotes Chinese traditional arts including paper cutting, knotting and hand painting. In recent years, Chinese luxury fashion leader NE·TIGER is becoming more widely recognized both in and outside of its home market, while its Huafu collections are featured at cultural events and on fashion runways worldwide.
NE·TIGER and Huafu
Chinese civilization, with its traditions and history stretching back five thousand years, is an inseparable component of today's ongoing fusion of the world's civilizations, an event and a trend that all nations and countries share in common. In today's globalized and multicultural world, NE·TIGER, the torch bearer of China's ancient traditions, while blending them together with the traditions of the world's many glorious cultures, is a true pioneer in this most brilliant era of fashion onto which we are now all embarking.
NE·TIGER, the top fashion and luxury brand of China, was founded by Mr. Tiger Zhang in 1982. In the past 30 years, it has introduced fur collections, evening dress, western wedding dress, Chinese-style wedding dress and its Houte Couture -- Huafu. "China has a good tradition of great manners, which is called "Xia"; while the collection of beautiful dresses of ancient China, was named "Hua". Huaxia's dress is Huafu, representing the essence and spirit of China's culture and history. Therefore, Huafu is also called China's National Dress.
