netForensics Unveils Powerful, Affordable Suite of Solutions that Enable on-Demand Security for Managed Service Providers
Offers MSPs a Phased, Market-Ready Approach to Security-as-a-Service
EDISON, N.J., Dec. 9, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- netForensics, Inc. today announced the release of nFX One for Managed Service Providers (MSPs). The new suite of solutions is specifically designed to address challenges faced by MSPs who want go-to-market with on-demand security services, yet need to minimize the associated capital and operational expenditures. With the new suite of solutions, MSPs can:
- Deliver on-demand services such as Security Event Monitoring, Global Threat Detection, Inside Threat Profiling, and Logging-as-a-Service with low capital investment.
- Obtain end-to-end visibility across customer networks, quickly detecting botnets, malware, hackers and suspicious internal activity.
- Minimize operational costs by supporting more customers with fewer resources.
- Expand their offerings with more sophisticated security and compliance services, as their teams, infrastructure and customers are ready.
"Having worked hand-in-hand with MSPs for over a decade, we understand that they have a serious responsibility to prevent threats against their customer's brand and valuable assets," said netForensics CEO, Dale Cline. "But previously, the investment required to implement effective security-as-a service was so significant that entry into the market was cost prohibitive. With our new suite of solutions, MSPs can take a simple, cost-effective approach to protecting their customers while building their security business."
nFX One for MSPs is comprised of four modules that act as an integrated platform to give service providers and their customers a full range of security and compliance options. Customers can start with the baseline solution, SP Monitor, and then add other modules to create new and differentiated services. The SP modules are:
SP Monitor –Real-time event monitoring, visualization, reporting, and alerting
SP Detect –Threat detection, rules correlation, and incident remediation system
SP Inspect – Local threat detection, dynamic watch lists, and vulnerability scoring
SP Comply – Guidance and reporting on compliance-related security issues
SP solution modules feature four new technology innovations:
Global Threat Detection gives MSPs clear visibility into inbound threats and zero-day attacks. Data from live global feeds on known and emerging threats are correlated with data specific to customer environments, automatically enriching it to make it even more relevant to MSPs and their customers.
Local Threat Detection provides real-time insight into suspicious internal activity such as botnets, port scanning, virus propagation, or SPAMS originators. All types of malicious code propagating from customer networks can be quickly detected and halted.
Multi-Tenant Vulnerability Scoring reveals which threats pose a true threat and the potential business impact of specific events across specific customer networks. False alert noise is dramatically reduced and analysts can better prioritize their efforts to investigate and mitigate actual threats.
Hybrid Cloud Model with Cinxi SIEM/Logging Appliances on customer's premise enable Logging-as-a-Service and helps customers address compliance requirements for local log storage. Logs are stored locally but also selectively forwarded to the MSP for monitoring, alerting and reporting.
All SP modules include a suite of market-ready reports, implementation services, best practice guidance, and on-site training. SP Solutions are available now.
