netForensics Commits to Common Criteria Evaluation Certification for nFX SIM One
All netForensics' Solutions under EAL 2+ Evaluation
EDISON, N.J., April 28 /PRNewswire/ -- netForensics, Inc., a leader in the Security Information Management market, today announced that it has formally entered into evaluation for Common Criteria Evaluation Assurance Level (EAL) 2+ certification for its nFX SIM One v.4.1.1 software. In March of this year, netForensics also entered into EAL 2+ certification for its nFX Cinxi One v.4.1 appliances.
The Common Criteria is an independent, internationally recognized set of guidelines which define a common framework for evaluating information technology security products. Recognized by governments in more than 26 countries, including the U.S. and Canada, Common Criteria certification is mandated for commercial information security products purchased by the U.S. government for use in national security systems.
"Entering into Common Criteria certification gives our global public sector and enterprise customers the confidence that netForensics can help them meet their security needs," said Tracy Hulver, Executive Vice President of Products and Marketing at netForensics. "With nFX Cinxi One already under EAL 2+ evaluation and nFX SIM One joining the ranks, we have assured our customers that all netForensics' security solutions have been tested against stringent international security guidelines."
nFX SIM One enterprise-class software is the industry's most powerful and scalable SIM solution for government agencies and large organizations that need to centrally gather, correlate, and report on security activities across complex and distributed networks. nFX SIM One delivers real-time security intelligence, enabling agencies and organizations to manage risk, protect assets, and maintain compliant operations.
The nFX SIM One evaluation is being conducted by the third-party standards testing laboratory, Domus IT Security Laboratory. Domus IT Security Laboratory is accredited by the Standards Council of Canada (SCC), responsible for evaluating technology security products that meet the highest level of standards for use by the U.S. government.
"We are pleased to work with netForensics on their Common Criteria Level 2 certification for nFX SIM One," said Maureen Barry, at Domus IT Security Laboratory. "With a second product under evaluation, netForensics continues to demonstrate its commitment to providing the federal government a CC EAL2+ security-certified technology."
