Netflix's Andy Cruz sets his eyes on the heart wrenching drama '2 Wrongs' with talented newcomer, Jamal Johnson; Walking Dead's Jessica Rae Huber scores film
LOS ANGELES, Oct. 24, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Award winning filmmaker and member of Netflix's editorial team, Andy Cruz, sets his eyes on a heart wrenching drama starring actor, Jamal Johnson, who also serves as producer. Film and TV composer, Jessica Rae Huber, (The Walking Dead, Marvels Agent of Shield) scored the film. The film has already garnered early success with winning Best Dramatic Short Film at one of the Los Angeles based festivals.
Coming off the heels of a successful 3rd season of the popular Netflix show, The Ranch (with Ashton Kutcher), and winning short film festival awards in California, New York, and Florida for his short film Perception, Andy Cruz is poised for another festival run with his new short film, 2 Wrongs. 2 Wrongs tells the narrative of a single father with a troubled past who dreams of creating a better life for his daughter. The film touches on many of the societal issues of today such as: single parenting, racial profiling, bullying, and the film's overall theme, "Do 2 Wrongs make a right?"
"With Perception, I wanted to strike a chord with the audience when it comes to not judging a book by its cover. In my new film, 2 Wrongs, I wanted to tell a grittier story of equal beauty and chaos. I am genuinely excited about this film and what Jamal Johnson brought to the lead role. He is truly an amazing talent," Cruz said.
"The story of a single father hit home for me because I was one, so I felt a real empathy to the character," Johnson expressed.
The film will be screened during the World Film Fair Festival in New York, NY, October 26-31, 2018. Please email [email protected] for ticket inquiries.
