NetDimensions to Showcase Innovative Portable LMS at Learning Technologies 2011
LONDON, Jan. 13, 2011 /PRNewswire-Asia-FirstCall/ -- NetDimensions (London Stock Exchange, AIM: NETD), a global provider of performance, knowledge and learning management systems, will address the challenges of mobile learning and performance support at Learning Technologies 2011 in Olympia 2, London.
"NetDimensions is redefining mobile workforce training with mEKP, the portable version of our award-winning flagship product, the Enterprise Knowledge Platform (EKP) Learning Management System," said Liam Butler, General Manager at NetDimensions (UK) Limited.
"It is only fitting that we showcase this revolutionary product and its benefits for organizations at Learning Technologies, Europe's leading event for corporate learning."
Growing need for mobile/portable learning solutions
Analyst firm International Data Corporation predicts that the number of worldwide mobile workers will reach 1 billion by the end of 2011; and by 2013, mobile workers will number 1.2 billion - 35% of the workforce worldwide. IDC also predicts that Western Europe will have over 129 million mobile workers by 2013 or approximately 50% of its workforce.
"Organizations have to increasingly support the expansion of their own mobile workforce with solutions that address all the different challenges that employees face wherever they are in the world and whatever their work assignments are," noted Butler.
"We believe that mEKP is a simple and elegant solution to address these challenges."
mEKP is a full-featured LMS that runs on inexpensive USB flash drives and requires no installation or Internet connectivity. Learning Technologies attendees will have the opportunity to experience mEKP in action at NetDimensions stand #100.
